Aviation Safety Resources, Inc., designs, tests, and manufactures emergency parachute recovery systems for aircraft including sport/experimental, light sport and general aviation aircraft, as well as Advanced/Urban Air Mobility VTOLs, eVTOLs, flying cars, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and helicopters. ASR systems are designed to safely bring down the entire aircraft/vehicle and its occupants in the event of an in-air emergency, mitigating impact damage. The Company' s technology includes the design, configuration, integration, deployment, and structural implementation necessary to integrate an aircraft/vehicle specific design essential for the safe operation of AAM/UAM vehicles and aircraft. ASR' s vision is to bring a new dimension of safety to personal transportation. With this goal in mind, the Company has commercialized a range of products and developed new, innovative solutions for the aviation and AAM/UAM markets. ASR' s technology is the next generation in recovery systems designed to recover an aircraft/vehicle in a vertical take-off or landing mode with only about 100-ft. (30 m) of altitude loss. This technology offers an extraordinary advantage over existing systems that rely on altitude to inflate a single parachute canopy, whereas the ASR system is not dependent on altitude loss, resulting in a more efficient system that works for vertical take-off and landing as well.
