James Kenna

Pennsylvania State University

James Kenna is a senior studying aerospace engineering at the Pennsylvania State University. He currently works as a research assistant at the Ice Crystal Wind Tunnel and Adverse Environment Rotor Test Stand, aiding with engine and rotor icing experiments. In the past, James interned with GE Aviation as a materials data analyst. He is particularly interested in the military and defense aspects of aerospace engineering.

James currently leads the design, fabrication, and testing of a ½ scale octocopter configuration (a 4 ft. long by 3.5 ft. wide vehicle with a payload of close to 70 lbs.) for the exploration of exo-planetary environments. The prototype was showcased at the PSU exhibit booth at AHS Forum 73.

James also serves as the 2016-2017 Vice President of the AHS PSU Chapter.
