Frederick Tsai

Frederick Tsai is a doctoral student at the University of Maryland Alfred Gessow Rotorcraft Center under the supervision of Dr. Anubhav Datta. He received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from UMD in 2012 then performed data analysis as an Aeronautical Engineer at NSWC Carderock for four years. He returned to graduate school at UMD in late 2016 and received his M.S. in Aerospace Engineering in December 2019. His doctoral research is on whirl flutter and experimental evaluation of the Maryland Tiltrotor Rig (MTR), a 4.75 ft. diameter, 3-bladed, semi-span, flutter model, at the Glenn L. Martin wind tunnel.
