Lennart Werner

Lennart Werner is studying M.Sc. Satellite Engineering and M.Sc. Aerospace Informatics at the University of Würzburg, Germany.

He is leading the team and doing systems engineering for a 40-member student space project developing a novel autorotation-based re-entry vehicle from space.

The experiment will be test flown on a sounding rocket from northern Sweden in March 2022 and will demonstrate an alternative to conventional parachutes.

Since his first days at the university, he has conducted research in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics' autonomous flight group.

Projects on autonomous drone defense systems and novel VTOL configurations are part of his work.

He will approach his career vertically.
