Jessica Beyer

The Pennsylvania State University

Jess Beyer is a first year M.S. student at Penn State where she is working with Dr. Ed Smith on investigating coaxial and pusher propeller IBC. Her research focuses on employing the comprehensive rotorcraft analysis system GRCAS to understand the potential of active vibration control for compound helicopters. She earned her B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy where she conducted research for the A-10 system program office on battle damage field repairs and performance predictions for new weapons configurations. She will attend Air Force pilot training after graduating from Penn State, and she hopes to fly the HH-60 in support of the combat search and rescue mission. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, playing soccer, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.
