Shreyas Ashok
Georgia Institute of Technology
Shreyas Ashok is a PhD Student in Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech, under the supervision of Dr. Juergen Rauleder. He is honored to be a recipient of the NSF Graduate Fellowship and Vertical Flight Foundation PhD Scholarship. His research focuses on mid-fidelity computational Lattice-Boltzmann simulations of rotorcraft aerodynamics, including simulations of helicopter ship-deck landing operations. Shreyas previously received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University in 2020, and a M.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2022. In his career, Shreyas hopes to advance the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics by enabling rapid, fast-turnaround mid-fidelity simulations that can make CFD more useful for design, simulation, and analysis. Outside of the lab, Shreyas is a Carnatic, or South Indian classical, vocal music student, and he also enjoys playing sports and games. He is also pursuing his Private Pilot License.
