Walther Chong

Walther Chong is a first-year M.S. student from Singapore studying Aerospace Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He works under Prof. Marilyn Smith at the Nonlinear Computational Aeroelasticity Lab (NCAEL) where he is working on a NASA University Leadership Initiative (ULI) project to develop operational tools for the Advanced/Urban Air Mobility (AAM/UAM) sector to model the operational service and life cycle of vehicles in the AAM sector. The scope of his work thus far includes modeling battery degradation, reduced order methods for simulating flight loads, and environmental modeling in urban environments.
