Emerson Self

University of Oklahoma

Emerson Self is from Fort Worth, Texas. She is currently a freshman at the University of Oklahoma, where she is majoring in Aerospace Engineering. Her goal is to pursue a Master’s Degree after graduating from OU. Emerson chose Aerospace Engineering because this field presents unique challenges for the flight industry that she hopes to improve. Outside of her academic studies, Emerson is a student member of the Vertical Flight Society, member and officer in Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, Textron National Merit Scholarship recipient, HELM Scholarship recipient, member in the OU Society of Women Engineers, church member, and participant in many OU intramural teams (soccer, flag football, and running). In her free time, she enjoys traveling, and spending time with friends and family, including her two dogs.
