Sahil Nitin Kale

I am Sahil Kale, from Maharashtra State, India. I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Bombay. I will be pursuing my graduate studies at Pennsylvania State University, with a focus on advancing eVTOL technology. My research interests lie in the areas of Rotorcraft Aerodynamics and Aeroelasticity. My work with Prof. Abihjit Gogulapati, Prof. P.J. Guruprasad, and Prof. Krishnendu Haldar from IIT Bombay, in the field of Solid Mechanics and Aeroelasticity, has equipped me with fundamental knowledge of the field and also proficiency in software like MATLAB, CATIA, Solidworks, and Ansys Structural. At Penn State, I will work with Prof. Edward Smith on vibration mitigation in eVTOL propeller blades during transition. With the support of my mentors and the Vertical Flight Foundation, I aim to contribute significantly to making eVTOL technology more affordable and commercially viable for the future.
