Daniele Granata

Politecnico di Milano

Daniele Granata is a PhD candidate at Politecnico di Milano, Italy, specializing in Aerospace Engineering. His research focuses on Aircraft and Rotorcraft Aerodynamics, CFD, Wind Tunnel Testing, Aeroacoustics, Modeling and Simulation techniques. He earned his B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2021 and an M.S. degree with honors in Aeronautical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2023. During his master’s studies, he collaborated with leading aerospace companies, notably working with Leonardo Helicopters to develop an innovative methodology for computing aerodynamic stability derivatives of tiltrotor aircraft. Since November 2023, he has been pursuing a PhD dedicated to advancing research on electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for urban air mobility. His work involves close collaboration with industry leaders such as Airbus and Archer Aviation. Driven by a passion for innovation and sustainability, he seeks to apply his expertise in aerodynamics, CFD, and advanced design methodologies to drive transformative progress in aerospace.
