Junhwi Park

Bio: Junhwi Park is a Ph.D. student in Aerospace Engineering at Seoul National University (SNU) under the supervision of Prof. Kwanjung Yee. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering from SNU. His research focuses on the design of eVTOL aircraft, with a particular interest in advancing sustainable aviation. Among various strategies for achieving this goal, he has primarily focused on aircraft electrification. His earlier work involved developing air- and liquid-cooled battery sizing methods for eVTOL aircraft design. Building on this foundation, he is currently working on a fuel cell-battery hybrid system design method for eVTOL aircraft that incorporates thermal management considerations. He also participated in the VFS 41st Annual Student Design Competition as a member of the SNU team, which received the Best New Entrant Award. After completing his Ph.D., Junhwi hopes to become a researcher who contributes meaningfully to sustainable aviation and the advancement of eVTOL technology. Outside of his research, he enjoys swimming and running.
