Pranav Sridhar
Georgia Institute of Technology
Pranav Sridhar is a PhD Candidate in Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech. Under the guidance of Dr. Marilyn J. Smith, his research focuses on assessing the predictive capabilities of state-of-the-art computational fluid dynamics (CFD) solvers and their ability to resolve the complex interactional aerodynamics, specifically rotor dynamic stall and proprotor-wing interactional aerodynamics. Pranav previously received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2021, and a M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2023. Additionally, he has completed work through internships with the U.S. Army Research Lab Weapons and Material Research Directorate and U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command. In 2024, he received a Department of Defense SMART Scholarship sponsored by the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Center at Moffett Field, CA. Upon completion of his doctoral degree, Pranav intends to apply his CFD experience to continue his research into computational aeromechanics, striving to further the predictive capabilities of the current state-of-the-art CFD codes.
