VFS Infrastructure Advisor Rex Alexander spoke about rotorcraft and eVTOL on panels at the National Business Aviation Association's Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) on Oct. 22-24, 2019. He conducted video interviews of executives at Bell and XTI Aircraft Company, as posted on the VFS YouTube Channel.
- VFS produced in-depth video interviews of executives from A³ by Airbus (Vahana) and Opener (BlackFly) about their eVTOL aircraft at the Experimental Aviation Association’s AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin in July. The videos are posted on the VFS YouTube Channel.

VFS co-sponsored the CAFE Foundation’s 13th Annual Electric Aircraft Symposium, held July 20-21, 2019, at University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. EAS 2019 was held in conjunction with the Experimental Aviation Association’s annual AirVenture in Oshkosh, July 22-28. Two dozen of the world’s leading electric aircraft developers and technology experts spoke at EAS 2019, all of which are available for free viewing in 26 videos on the VFS YouTube Channel. - Short Course on Electric VTOL Aeromechanics & Acoustic Prediction Software: This 1½ day was taught by Dr. Ken Brentner (Penn State), Dan Wachspress (Continuum Dynamics), Dr. Rob McDonald (Uber Elevate) and Alex Gary (Uber Elevate). The course instructed attendees on how to use PSU-WOPWOP, CDI's CHARM and NASA's OpenVSP modeling tools to conduct acoustic prediction of Electric VTOL configurations. Rotorcraft Modeling Short Course: This course was held in conjunction with Forum 74 and reviews various rotorcraft configurations and the challenges they represent, examines how static and periodic trim are achieved, and explores blade dynamics, rotor aerodynamics and wake modeling.

Electric VTOL Short Course: The Vertical Flight Society's inaugural Short Course on Electric VTOL Technology was held in conjunction with Forum 74. The online course includes lectures on fundamentals of eVTOL, permanent magnet motors and hybrid electric VTOL experience.

- The 2012 Alexander A. Nikolsky Lecture, "Handling Qualities Engineering," by Prof. Gareth Padfield, was given again on Oct. 17, 2012 by the (then) AHS Atlanta Chapter. It was held at and recorded by Georgia Institute of Technology.
