Authors / Details: Jonathan Shaddix, Miranda Oden, and Wes Perry, AMRDEC Prototype Integration FacilityAbstract
The United States (U.S.) Army UH-60L fleet (out of production since 2006), does not meet the current requirement, as identified by the solider in the Operational Requirements Document (ORD) for the recapitalization of the UH-60 Black Hawk Utility Helicopter Fleet. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC) team was tasked to update the existing UH-60L analog architecture to a digital infrastructure addressing obsolescence and other life cycle issues related to aging avionics and systems components.
