Forum 76
Virtual | October 5-8, 2020
The Vertical Flight Society's 76th Annual Forum & Technology Display was a great success! World's leading international technical event on vertical flight technology. More than 1,600 people experienced the "Future of Vertical Flight" at Forum 76, held Oct. 5-8, 2020, virtually.
More than 228 technical papers were presented plus special sessions with invited presentations and panel discussions by experts and decision makers in industry, academia, government agencies and research institutions.
After months of waiting and weeks of preparations, the virtual 76th Annual Grand Awards Ceremony video was broadcast on YouTube on Sept. 30, almost exactly 76 years after the First Annual Dinner awards were given on Oct. 7, 1944. More than 20 individual and group awards were presented to recognize the vertical flight community's greatest accomplishments. The Society presented 29 scholarships totaling $100,000 as part of its educational mission; in addition, many student volunteers attended the forum virtually to assist in administering the technical conference.
