The Electric VTOL Revolution
The Vertical Flight Society's Electric VTOL efforts started in 2013 and soon led to the Society's "Transformative Vertical Flight" initiative. The success of the advanced air mobility (AAM) industry today is due in a small part to the efforts of VFS and its members over the years.
Today, VFS has an Electric VTOL Technical Committee that leads the publication of technical papers for our Annual Forum. VFS has also created a bespoke website with news and the comprehensive World eVTOL Aircraft Directory, the Electric VTOL News — check it out and subscribe to our bi-weekly newsletter! In addition to our Transformative Vertical Flight (TVF) conferences that include the annual Electric VTOL Symposiums and other meetings listed below, VFS also runs the annual Electric Aircraft Symposium, which supports all of electric aviation.

Stay current on the progress of battery-electric, hybrid-electric and hydrogen-electric powered vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
Hydrogen Initiatives
VFS supports several initiatives that advance hydrogen aviation, with a focus on hydrogen fuel cell developments for electric flight.
TVF Working Groups
VFS leads a series of workshops on electric, on-demand, and hybrid-electric propulsion, as well as vertiport configuration and design.
