Nicholas Zhu

Nick is a Ph.D. candidate at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University studying with Prof. J. Gordon Leishman and Prof. Ebenezer Gnanamanickam. He is currently a Department of Defense SMART scholar and was previously a Department of Education GAANN fellow. Nick's research revolves around understanding ship airwakes in the context of the ship/rotorcraft dynamic interface, and he frequently performs flow measurements at the Embry-Riddle wind tunnel using particle image velocimetry. Prior to joining Embry-Riddle, Nick was an undergraduate at the University of Maryland, where he first discovered an interest in rotorcraft aerodynamics.
