AHS ANNOUNCES A NOVEL APPROACH TO AHS MEMBERSHIP ENROLLMENT BY ONE OF THE WORLD’S LEADING HELICOPTER MANUFACTURERS
Alexandria, VA - AHS International – The Vertical Flight Society Executive Director, M. E. Rhett Flater, announced today that Bell Helicopter Textron, Inc. has embarked on a Society membership enrollment effort using employee payroll deduction. This membership campaign will begin May 21, 2007 for U.S.-based employees of Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. Flater applauded this innovative step taken by Bell and remarked, “This will make AHS membership available for Bell employees for as little as 77 cents per paycheck and we look forward to welcoming many new members into the Society’s ranks.”
Interested Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. employees will be able to sign up on a Society web page dedicated to Bell employees and hosted by AHS. Incoming AHS Membership Chairman Jon Tatro, Director, Advanced Concept Development worked assiduously with other Bell employees and officers of the Southwest Chapter to launch this new initiative. Bell’s goal is to improve accessibility to AHS membership for all of its employees and will work toward a similar capability for Bell Canada later this year.
The first two hundred Bell employees that take advantage of this opportunity will each receive an AHS mug, which will also be inscribed with the Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. logo. For more information on this membership initiative, please contact AHS International Headquarters at staff@vtol.org.
